“What should we wear for our fall family photos?”

Let’s walk through some tips that will help you look and feel amazing while keeping the focus on connection, warmth, and timeless style.

First, Let’s Talk About Lighting

All my fall sessions are scheduled during golden hour—that dreamy, glowing light just before sunset that flatters every skin tone and brings warmth to every image. Because of this, your wardrobe should complement that soft, rich light—not compete with it.

Stick to Neutrals & Earth Tones

I LOVE working with neutral palettes and warm earth tones. Not only do these colors photograph beautifully, but they blend seamlessly with fall landscapes—think dried grasses, amber leaves, and golden sunlight.

Go-To Color Ideas:

• Neutrals: ivory, cream, tan, taupe, beige and brown
  
• Warm earth tones: rust, terracotta, camel, olive, mustard, sage, deep burgundy
  
• Accent colors: dusty rose, denim blue, warm navy
  

Avoid neon or overly saturated colors (Like Red)—they can reflect on the skin and distract from the natural vibe of your session.
